As mentioned in my
last post The River Why was screened at the Oregon Film Festival and won a festival award for
best cinematography. I have only found two reviews to date.
Shawn Levy of the Oregonian gave it only an OK review but praised the beauty of the film and stated that "...it may be the sort of film that admirers of the novel will find and connect to."
Bill Varble of the Southern Oregon Mail Tribune must have gotten a
pre-festival
sneek peek because he wrote a review on April 4
th and stated, "This is lovely, understated film making." Looking forward to hearing more reviews following the upcoming festivals.
