Traded emails with a friend today who mentioned breaking off a very large brook trout on a branch at the streams edge (a stream he failed to name by the way) somewhere in northern Wisconsin over the weekend. Oh well, the "one that got away" story is part of the allure. I once got the foreign version of the "one that got away" on the Pitten River outside of Vienna from an Austrian gent with an amazing bamboo rod in his hand.
