No Shortage of Fish!

Hola Amigos -

As the spring opener rolls around this weekend the Wisconsin DNR thoughtfully made me award of a nice web site promoting the over 170 species of fish found in Wisconsin, it's worth a look. The site is a joint venture between the DNR, UW Limnology, and the Sea Grant Institute. As for the fishing opener - the Trout Buddha treats opening day much like New Years Eve - a good time to stay home and leave the waters to the once-a-year crowd. Not to sound like a snob but ...

Also, nice article in today's Wi State Journal about the health of Black Earth Creek. BEC is always in danger due to growth and agricultural practices however, it is still a great stream just 20 minutes west of the Buddhas house. I tell EVERYONE to fish there - that way the place I'm going will be a bit less crowded. What the heck - once a stream make a few top 50 or top 100 lists - the word is out.

Tight lines,
Trout Buddha
